Race will be held rain or shine (or desert-like heat or freak snowfall).
Teams consist of two people only. Each teammate must complete at least one leg of the race, but it’s not necessary that one person does both runs. Only one teammate on the course at a time- it’s a relay.
And you must finish the race. It’s a rule.
Awards
Finisher medals for all racers who cross the line.
Prize money to the top three male and female finishers Prizes for top 3 teams
Primes for fastest splits for male and female
Random other awards and plenty of free stuff
Course
Run and bike courses will be dirt singletrack. Both 5k runs will be fairly strenuous and technical, The 15k bike section will be on the smoothest, fastest singletrack available at each venue. That doesn’t mean anything at Turkey Mountain because hardly any of Turkey’s trails are smooth or fast. Lake Keystone trails are mostly rocky and technical with some fast sections in between. Trails at Osage Hills have a different type of rock, and it should be fast... and bumpy. I highly recommend you come with knobby tires and a nice suspension fork to every race. Running in running shoes is always a good idea too.
We anticipate that everyone (beginner to expert) will have a lot of fun at our races and not be injured beyond what the EMTs can handle (and what a beer and hotdog won’t fix).

At each race venue, we will try to maintain a consistent format. Each venue will have an OFF-road Duathlon and a 5k trail running race. Each course will be different and will offer varied terrain, but we will try to keep the distances as close as possible and maintain consistency so you know what to expect.
The distances for the Duathlons will be (approximately):
5k run - 15k bike - 5k run
The 5k Trail Run will be 5 kilometers on trails.
All races will start at 9a.
The transition area will always be the same.
Each race will be professionally timed.
Finisher medals will be given out at each race.
Huge prize money for top finishers, great prizes for the fastest teams, primes for the fastest bike and run splits, and lots of other giveaways.
You’ll have your picture taken on the course, so look good for momma.
And if you start, you have to finish.
Otherwise, no hotdog for you.
